The International Journal of Modern Science and Technology Research (IJMSTR) recognises that the credibility and reproducibility of research are closely linked to the accessibility of underlying data. In contemporary academic practice, transparency in data not only strengthens the validity of findings but also enables further scholarly inquiry, replication, and critical evaluation. Accordingly, the Journal encourages authors to adopt an open and responsible approach to data sharing.
Authors are expected to include a clear Data Availability Statement within their manuscripts. This statement should specify whether the data supporting the findings of the study are publicly available, available upon reasonable request, or subject to restrictions. Where possible, authors are encouraged to deposit datasets in recognised repositories and provide persistent identifiers or links to facilitate access.
The Journal acknowledges that certain categories of data may be subject to confidentiality obligations, legal restrictions, or ethical considerations, particularly in research involving human participants, sensitive information, or proprietary material. In such cases, authors are expected to clearly explain the nature of the restrictions and, where feasible, provide alternative means of verification, such as anonymised datasets or methodological transparency.
The responsibility for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and accessibility of data rests with the authors. Failure to provide data when reasonably requested, without adequate justification, may raise concerns regarding the reliability of the research and could lead to editorial action. Through this policy, IJMSTR seeks to promote a culture of openness and accountability that enhances the overall integrity of scholarly communication.
